Yes perhaps this would be a valid tactic to defeat a warlock if said warlock was easily distracted. But on the other hand he could have his fel hunter out and silence you. He could eat your puny mage bubble and DC/Fear spamming with a hell of alot of DoTs and you'd get owned.
