TRON GUY

FOUND OUTSIDE OF ROFLCON, 4.26

By David Day

How has your experience been?

It's been a long and intense couple of days, but it's been a lot of fun.

How do you mean intense?

There hasn't been any real downtime. It's been going and going and going (coughs). As you can hear my voice is beginning to fade a little bit.

Is it a specific character?

This isn't a specific character, it's patterned after the programs that fight for the users.

You're an internet celebrity. Have you signed a lot of autographs?

A bunch of that, and had my picture taken a bunch of times. What I do is sign my name and put Jay Maynard the Tron Guy after it.

Are you going to the afterparty?

I'm going to the reception, but I'm feeling like I am about to fall over, so I may have to pass.

Your accent is thick.

I'm originally from Houston. I now live in Fairmont, Minnesota. I don't sound like I'm from Minnesota.

I'm from Minnesota, and I don't sound like that.

Not even a little bit.

met this guy before rofl started on friday. he is out of this world. i wonder if he enjoyed being killed by Numa Numa on South Park the week before...

Attention Artists! Stop the Orphan Act!

By weeklydig on Mon, May 5, 2008 12:23 pm

Two bills were submitted to congress at the end of April — one to the House and one to the Senate — called the Orphan Works Act of 2008. Congress is looking to have this act passed and signed into law by George Bush by June 8, 2008, less than two months after it was introduced.

In a nutshell, this act may put many of you creative people in a tight spot when it comes to copyrighting your images and jeopardize long term royalties.
