BOSTON HELPS HAITI

The Allston community is hosting a Haiti Relief Fundraiser at Wonderbar with music from The Ground Up, Gracie Fox, Hannah Christiansen, Ryan Fardy & Shades of Blue and Supple. The Longwood Symphony Orchestra, whose members represent nearly every medical institution in Boston, and the New England Conservatory are partnering for a benefit performance, Symphonic Relief for Haiti, to raise funds for Partners in Health's Stand With Haiti initiative (standwithhaiti.org). The Coolidge Corner Theatre is hosting a benefit screening of Jonathan Demme's 2003 documentary about human rights activist Jean Dominique, The Argonomist, in conjunction with their own 2010 Coolidge Award Program honoring the director on March 1st. The first 140 tickets sold before February 7th will be matched by Coolidge supporters and donated to Partners in Health by mid-month.
