Cambridgeport Artists Open Studios (CAOS) - Sept 8th and 9th

By plehar on Thu, Aug 16, 2007 10:55 am

Hi Everyone!

Looking to get in some culture before the summer is done? Check out CAOS (pronounced "chaos"), the art walk that takes you up-close-and-personal to live local art in this beautiful neighborhood of Cambridge. Take the Red Line on the MBTA to Central Square and walk toward the river, but be sure and print out your studio guidemap at www.caosonline.org before you go. The studios will be open between 12 pm and 6pm both days and you'll be able to view and purchase art as well as meet the artists in person! What could be a better way to get your culture on?

Attention Artists! Stop the Orphan Act!

By weeklydig on Mon, May 5, 2008 12:23 pm

Two bills were submitted to congress at the end of April — one to the House and one to the Senate — called the Orphan Works Act of 2008. Congress is looking to have this act passed and signed into law by George Bush by June 8, 2008, less than two months after it was introduced.

In a nutshell, this act may put many of you creative people in a tight spot when it comes to copyrighting your images and jeopardize long term royalties.
