Echoplex

By AubrieA on Fri, Oct 9, 2009 5:13 am Normal 0

Have you heard of the word Echoplex? This term has a variety of meanings, one is significant to a certain segment of really annoying pretentious types that fashion themselves "hipsters" that aren't taken seriously by most of society.  That is that Radiohead front man Thom Yorke will be making an appearance at a Los Angeles venue called the Echoplex.

Thom Yorke used to be one of the notable guitar players of the era and an Echoplexer as well who are highly sought after.

Radiohead fans are typically pretentious, vainglorious, and all think they're some sort of pseudo-musical intellectuals, who are actually just misplacing their frustration over constant belittling, humiliation, and being outperformed in every aspect of existence by a truly manly and sophisticated group of people – known as Slayer fans.  (Slayer rules and you're all tools.)

The Echoplex is also a very expensive and sought after guitar effect unit, designed by Mike Battle and sold by the Maestro company in the 50s.  One is worth getting loans to get, and the other is a venue.

The Middle East is a great venue when it's kind of full--but it can be a mess when it's completely sold out.
