ISLAM: WHAT THE WEST NEEDS TO KNOW

PRESENT DANGER

By TAK TOYOSHIMA

DVD_Islam

From the folks who brought you Outfoxed, The Yes Men and Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price comes this feel-good doozy of a film. Here, the Disinformation Company poses the question: "Is Islam itself violent?" The DVD features point-blank interviews with noted experts on Islam who all support the idea that Islam is rooted in violence and that Muslims who denounce the use of violence to spread the word of Allah are ignorant of the truth behind the Islamic faith. Yikes. It's a pretty sobering presentation that attempts to connect points throughout history to illustrate their growing dominance and ultimate goal of ruling the world. The question that kept popping up in my head wasn't whether or not Islam was violent (the DVD made its position plainly clear), but whether or not I believed the message. After being spoon-fed Islam's well-crafted propaganda, I was left to wonder whether these Disinformation guys were on to something, as I rocked back and forth in the corner with a raging ulcer.
