Imagine a video game version of Kill Bill where Uma Thurman is a brunette, but she's actually Eliza Dushku. That's where this highly stylized alternative action game comes into play, seamlessly combining swordplay, shooting and crazy acrobatics. Watertown-born Dushku voices Rubi Malone, a gun for hire who agrees to find a wealthy man's son when things go totally wrong. Wet is three games in one, allowing you to shoot the bejesus out of endless baddies or cut them to shit with Rubi's katana, all the while flipping, diving, spinning and jumping as Rubi tries to find out who betrayed her and what this mysterious job is all about. Dushku said she loved playing the whiskey-swilling Rubi Malone, calling her a "working-class Lara Croft." We got to play a demo of the game, and it's solid. The game's cinematographic style and funky '70s soundtrack make Wet the perfect holiday season game if you're looking for something different.
